It's the last day of August. That means that tomorrow is the first day of September!

Since I like to change my wallpaper monthly and enjoy calendar wallpapers, I thought I'd make this calendar wallpaper template to help people in making some calendar wallpapers.

The template is in psd format, 1920x1200 so you can scale it down to make each size, and has the calendar in both black and white.

Susan Pevensie and Arthur Pendragon. My wallpaper features BBC Merlin's Arthur and Anna Popplewell as Susan from Prince Caspian. The text is a modified Narnia quote "Once a king or queen [in Narnia], always a king or queen". Susan was supposed to be a great beauty whom every king wanted for his queen. Susan is really the only logically crossover and shippable pevensie in my mind. I'm also kind of imagining that Doctor Who picked her up and she visited Camelot where she met Arthur. Guinevere never stood a chance!

We're coming up on our first anniversary in a little over a month and I've suddenly been thinking I'm way behind at doing things with our pictures. So here I've made a "lovebar" and a set of animations from our wedding videos.

Background - One of the first times I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I noticed the following Voldemort dialogue "it will be quick ... it might even be painless ... I would not know... I have never died. . . ." and I was immediately reminded of a quote which contrasted with it. Near the end of The Silver Chair
"But," said Eustace, looking at Aslan. "Hasn't he - er died?"
 
"Yes," said the Lion in a very quiet voice, almost (Jill thought) as if he were laughing.
"He has died. Most people have, you know. Even I have. There are very few who
haven't."

This is my second video tutorial. Because of feedback, and because this one is a bit more complex(but still fine for beginners) this one has a narration voiceover. Going in the same theme as my first one, this tutorial shows how to make basic pixel text and text borders in Paint Shop Pro using PSP9. Paint Shop Pro 9 is used, but this tutorial should work in most versions of PSP. Let me know what you think, and if you'd be interested in more tutorials like this!

As aforementioned, I was having trouble choosing a desktop wallpaper. I still haven’t chosen, but I did make a few. The following are Back to School themed wallpapers in two widescreen sizes. I’ve also decided not to make non-widescreen ones anymore. I figure that between the sizes they’re big enough to strech or center or crop if you want to for your non-widescreen display. I just know in a little while I’m going to be going; “What was I doing making all these square wallpapers?” The clipart is from PC Crafter a couple years ago.
